One thing that surprises me is that the stats apparently show that Twitter is less than 5.9 million in the states and it is 2.1m in the UK. A difference of only 65%. Whilst Facebook in the states is 127m and in the UK it is 24.2m (only 20% of the number of users of the US). Is this a BBC error or really true?
If it is true, why are the British so keen to adopt Twitter at it's early stage in life and the US not? Are we not the more discerning nation on the whole?
